Heal Yaself at home
Remedy: Swipe lip balm.
Why it works: It deprive the exposed nerve endings of air, which helps stop the bleeding and instantly relieves the sharp pain of these tiny cuts.
Dull, splintered nails
Remedy: Rub a dab of cod liver oil or castor oil onto cuticles and nails.
Why it works: Both oils soften cuticles and make nails shiny, plus the massage helps them grow.
Foot odor
Remedy: Dissolve two Alka-Seltzer tablets in a quart of warm water and soak feet for 15 minutes twice a week.
Why it works: The baking soda in Alda-Seltzer increase the acid level on your feet, which inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria. If you're allergic to aspirin (a key ingredient in Alka-Seltzer), try sprinkling baking soda into your shoes to absorb any odors.

Body Language
Connect with the kids: Wondering your teenager threw a wild house party while you were out of town? Ask him and watch if he brings his hand to his face or mouth, chances are there were two dozen kids hanging from the chandelier. A younger child will probably cover his entire mouth with his hand while formulating a fib.
Relate to a boss: She'll be more receptive to talking about that raise when she's in an open position--leaning forward in her chair, one foot slightly in front of the other, head up. Beware the "figure four leg clamp" (sitting with the ankle of one resting on the knee of the other, with both hands clenching the shin). This reveals an antagonistic attitude, and she may not be interested in hearing opinions that don't mirror her own.
Understand a woman: At the end of the date, you say "I'll call you a few days later" and she says "Tha't would be great" by raising her left hand in front of her face, then fluttering her fingers in what looks like a sexy little au revoir wave as she slowly backs away. What's her body language saying to you? You didn't notice that by backing away from you, by using her hand as a subtle barrier to keep you at bay, and by fanning the air with her "goodbye" message, her body contradicted every word her lips formed.
If her palms are open, it shows sincerity and receptivity - she isn't hiding anything from you.
Read your own Body language: Arms Folded / Legs Crossed. This can be seen as defensive or an end to the conversation. So have arms hang freely or hold a glass of water, a business card or note taking instruments while communicating with others. Be open with open arms. Note: If you need to cross legs, cross at your ankles and not your knees. Sitting tightly folded up says that you are closed to communications.

The Best Eyebrow shape for your face
Round: A round face looks best with high arched eyebrows where the peak is toward the end of the brow and the tail is short.
Oval: Lucky you - An oval face looks great with any eyebrow shape.
Square: Square faces have strong jaw lines that can be balanced with strong, angled eyebrows, where the peak is close to being directly above the square of the jaw.
Heart: To emphasize this pretty face structure, the eyebrows should have a rounded shape.
Long: A long face looks best with a flat brow to avoid further elongation.
Diamond (triangle): Diamond faces are quite angular and look great with a more rounded or peaked eyebrow to narrow the width.

Face Shapes (Dedication to Princess Shin)
Oval is a perfectly balanced face; the top half balances the bottom half.
1. forehead is wider than the chin
2. prominent cheekbones
3. face gracefully tapers to a narrow oval chin
Round Face
Your cheeks, chin and forehead practically form a circle. Your cheeks tend to be plump and full, obscuring the cheekbones.
1. face is almost as wide as it is long
2. face is widest at the cheeks
Long Face
This shape will have either a long forehead or a long chin; distinct drawn and rather raw-boned features are visible giving a tired look. Cheekbones lack lift because of the length of the face.
1. forehead, cheekbones and jawline are all about the same width
2. can tend to have a prominent chin
3. has an elongated appearance
Square Face
This shape is easily identified by its square jaw line and solid bone structure. The cheekbones are flat and unnoticeable, while the forehead tends to be wide and angled with plum cheeks.
1. forehead, cheekbones and jawline all about the same width
2. squared jawline is the most obvious feature
Heart Face
Being narrow at the bottom and broad at the top marks this face. Your chin will be pointed and prominent. Cheekbones may be high, but often are not so obvious because of the width of the face.
1. similar to oval but the chin tapers to a point
Diamond (Triangle) Face
It is not as common as the other face shapes.
1. typically the face is highly angular
2. the forehead is somewhat short
3. the face is widest at the temples
To find out your basic face shape, start by pulling your hair back from your face, and with no makeup on, look closely in the mirror and examine your bone structures and distinct features on your face.
This post is dedicated to my blogger friend Princess Shin because I haven't been able to post the message that she tagged me on her blog.
For all the face shapes, I include something particular for the faces in the drawings.Let's say it is something that help you to have better overall facial apperance. Would you mind if I play a liitle bit game with you?
Can you tell me what a little difference is on all different faces except, of course, face shapes? If one of you can give me the right answer, the winner can tell me about what he/she wants to know something relating to the human body and I'll do the research for you and the post will be dedicated to you. How about that? Sound good?
If the correct answer is given by more than one, I'll pick the first person who gives the correct answer. So have fun and enjoy it!

HairTalk-- Hair Bangs
Face shapes and Bangs
Oval face shapes - the oval face shape is considered to be a face shape that can wear any type of hair-style . This includes bangs which can be worn in just about any style.
Round face shapes - the most flattering bang styles is long softly layered or feathered bangs that gently hug the cheeks areas to minimize round cheeks. Great bands can instantly chisel into the cheekbones and help them pop.
Long face shapes - blunt brow hugging bangs that softly drape over the forehead will help to give the impression of a more oval-shaped face.
Square face shapes - consider side-swept bangs that gently curve or taper inwards towards the jaw to soften pronounced square facial lines. When well cut, side swept bangs can also help soften all the angles of the face.
Heart face shapes - depending on the ultimate goal, bangs can be selected to either minimize the general wideness of the heart shaped face or help to balance the generally prominent chin. A side swept feathered or texturized bang style might be the best selection.
Triangular face shapes - wider bangs that are feathered, wispy or texturized can help to balance the face and create more of an oval shape.A slight wispy fringe will cover and conceal a wide forehead. It will also bring it into a better proportion with a wide chin. Avoid the flat, pageboy fringes. These can level out fullness and height.

Some tips for hair
Before conditioning: Us a dry washcloth to squeee all the water out of your hair so that it will absorb the conditioner better.
Apply conditioner: From the ends to the roots.
For Quick, Frizz-free curls: Mix a moisturizing gel with a little bit of pomade for extra hold. Scrunch hair and let air-dry or dry with diffuser.
To safeguard color: Don't wash your hair too often or heat style it every day. Heat oxidizes color, so a straightener, blow dryer or curling iron will fade color faster.
To bann Frizz: Use a light serum after styling.
For Fall: try a below-the-shoulders, softly layered style with a blunt-cut bottom.

What makes us Different?
What makes us Different? by Michael D. Lemonick and Andrea Dorfman in TIME says, "Chimpamzees share roughly 98% to 99% identical to humans at the genetic level. When it comes to DNA, a human is closer to a chimp than a mouse to a rat"(46-47).
The Puzzling Origins of AIDS by Jim Moore in American Scientist, Vol 92 says, "Most recent work has shown that the closest relative of the primary human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) is another simian immunodeficiency virus, one carried by chimpanzees (SIVcpz)." SIVcpz cross over into humans and become pathogenic. Surprisingly, SIV is harmless to its hosts (chimpanzees) when HIV causes AIDS in human.
I read Jim Moore's article about AIDS origins a while ago and just finished reading about "what make us different?".
My "un-expert non-scientist" mind happen to assume that maybe we can find the answers for AIDS in those differences of 1- 2% genes and find the cure for AIDS. Do you guys think it might be possible?

Period Problems You Shouldn't Ignore
Has your menstrual cycle gone a bit wacky?
Painful periods
What it might mean: Unusually heavy cramps or lower back pain are one of the few symptoms of endometriosis.
Irregular bleeding
What it might mean: Talk with your doctor about the possibility of endometrial polyps or pelvic infection.
Bloating
What it might mean: If your clothes are suddenly tight through the abdomen--the key word is "suddenly"--it could signal ovarian cancer.
Heavy periods
What it might mean: You may associate extra-heavy periods with perimenopause, but they could also signals endometrial cancer or fibroids.

Exercise: Butt Boot Camp
This was published in Cosmopolitan June 2006 by Victoria Lucia. Why am I posting it three months later after publishing? The reason is I've tried it and it works. I'm not doing blah blah here. Everything I post on this blog comes with my pure intention of sharing and the benefits of my experience and effort.
Two-point alternate lunges
Butt lift
Lie on your stomach with your arms folded in front of you, chin resting on top of your hands. Bend your knees and cross your ankles behind you as shown in figure (a).
Squeeze your butt tightly as you lift your legs slightly off the ground as shown in figurre (b).
Hold for one second , then slowly return legs to the floor.
Max the move: On the last rep of each set, suspend your legs as long as you can.
Stability Ball Squat
Stand with the ball between your midback and a wall as shown in figure (a).
Squeeze your butt the whole time, and keep your back straight, allowing the ball to roll dow n your spine. Keep hips facing squarely forward as shown in figure (b). Return to start.
Max the move: Don't rest between reps--keep up the pace.
Note: This can be done without the ball.

Skin care for Acne Mark
My skin is oily and I often experience adult acne with scars left on my face. I started using this product 3 months ago and it has improved the overall appearance of my skin drastically. It got rid of my little inflamed whiteheads. I started off using this once a week and now, I use it every three days. It does shorten the life of the pimples I do get. It hasn't given me dry, irritated skin like other products. I get less breakouts and I highly recommend. However, there is one thing to remember. Skin care is not one day result. It means you need to use it consistently by following the right way for a while if you want to see the improvement of your skin.
Even though you don't need it, tell someone who may need it. I'm not advertising. I'm just sharing a quality product with you guys.
Instruction: Apply a thin layer over clean face avoiding eye area and leave on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse clean with water to reveal clearer, smoother skin. Use two-three times a week.
Drawbacks: The smell is not very good & some redness may appear after using.
How it works: While using, you might feel a slight tingling sensation, which indicates the product is working.
Price: US $ 12-15.
Where to find: Target & Drug stores including Rite Aid, CVS & Walgreens. Plus online Drugstore.com
More reviews: Check out at Smart skin care customer review & drugstore skin care customer's product review.
